Celebrating Community

Under sunny skies and with the laughter of cheering children, Town leaders joined residents in celebrating the first day of Spring/Summer baseball and softball season on April 5, 2025. Parks and Recreation Director, Courtney Brown; Mayor, Stephen Williamson, Jr.; Police Chief, Jackie Benton; and Town Manager, Anna West; celebrated with the community at Kenan Park to support the Kenansville Parks and Recreation program which featured a ceremonial first pitch by the Mayor. Opening Day was a reflection of what is possible when our community comes together. Volunteers, the Public Works Department, the Parks and Recreation Department, and Town leadership all have demonstrated a shared commitment to create a community where kids can learn teamwork and build life-long memories through youth, recreational sports.
